the Festival Season in Chicago
Featuring our main stage of rock-solid talent under a Big-Top
Tent. Ice cold beer, live music, and your favorite festival faire...
what more could anyone ask for?
Mayfest has been around for over a decade and continues to set the tone for all summer events in Chicago. Local artisans line the venue offering some unbelievable art and our preferred merchants showcase an eclectic mix of wares in the Mayfest courtyard.
Undoubtedly a great experience of shopping enjoyment and culinary treats to delight your taste buds. When you join us for three days of great music, food, and fun, we promise not to disappoint. Mayfest definitely ROCKS and also offers a celebration that features our Home Town Heroes.
On Sunday, pet lovers unite to enjoy our world-famous Pet Parade. Here is your chance to showcase the talents of your furry friends and take the stage for a unique party. Awards are presented for the ‘Best Looking’, ‘Largest’, and ‘Owner Look-A-Like and many others’. If your pet can do an incredible trick, make sure to sign up for our ‘Pet Trick’ Portion of the show. Registration begins at 11:00 am on Sunday with the show at Noon.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to be a part of a Summer Tradition. This Event is definitely a great start to a festival season that Chicago looks forward to all year!
SPECIAL FEATURES
On Saturday, May 17th, 2008 communities worldwide will participate in the fourteenth annual “Kids Day America/International™,” a Health, Safety, and Environmental Awareness Day. Dr. Sarah Weber will be sponsoring the event locally from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Chicago Mayfest (3100 N. Ashland @ Barry).
The event will provide essential information on health, child safety, and environmental awareness. Additionally, there will be special appearances by the Chicago Police Department’s Canine and Mounted Unit, who will be joined by Thousand Waves Martial Arts & Self-Defense Center. The Fire Department will provide fire safety tips to the children. Dr. Sarah Weber will provide FREE health screenings, and will be distributing vital information on disease prevention and health promotion. “We will also provide free balloons, food and fun for everyone. There will be special give-aways and free prize drawings every half-hour! In addition we are raising money for the Lake View YMCA for their summer programs, says Dr. Sarah Weber.
The event is free, and “this year is especially exciting for Kids Day America/International™, as it is being represented nationally by celebrity spokesperson Jonathan Lipnicki, star of such films as Jerry Maguire with Tom Cruise, and Stuart Little 1 and 2” commented national event founders Drs. Theresa and Stuart Warner. “We encourage the entire community to join Dr. Sarah Weber by participating Saturday at this unique, fun-filled community awareness event!”
