Oktoberfest at The Glen

WHAT:
The Glen Town Center will be the setting for Oktoberfest 2008. Unlimited samples of beers from local, regional and national brewers will be on hand complimented by traditional German music, and the ever-popular Alpine Dancers. The taps will start flowing at noon, with a last call announced in German at 10:00 pm. There will be plenty to feast on with restaurant booths featuring German favorites such as: sausages, pretzels and other Glen specialties as well.
Oktoberfest isn’t only for the adults! Let your children enjoy this cultural experience and celebrate Oktoberfest by attending the Kinderfest portion of the festival. Kinderfest provides opportunities for children to engage in activities such as face painting, fun-filled games, and much more. There will also be activities specifically dedicated to helping build children’s cultural awareness by celebrating various nuances of German culture.
As a cultural icon, Oktoberfest has had people flocking to Germany from all parts of the globe to participate in the world's largest annual festival for centuries. Through careful planning by The Glen and StarEvents, the tradition that began nearly 200 years ago in Germany now comes right to your front door. Cars will be parked along Patriot Boulevard and dispersed throughout The Glen for best viewing. Simply stroll through and view the classics.
