What’s better than a hunk of creamy chocolate – well, maybe a strawberry dipped in double dark chocolate, or fresh crunchy popcorn drizzled with melted chocolate, or maybe a chocolate martini …
Those are all great reasons to visit the 9th Annual Long Grove Chocolate Festival on May 2-3-4 in Long Grove Historic Village. Enjoy demos by chocolatiers and pastry chefs in the Chocolate Demo Tent! Enjoy live entertainment throughout the village all three days, as well as pony rides and children’s activities.

Other reasons to come for the day – or the weekend - are nearly 70 distinctive specialty shops in Long Grove that will be celebrating chocolate in their own unique way, with a wide variety of yummy treats to tempt your taste buds. To add to the festivities, we are offering a special Long Grove tote bag just for accumulating $150 in receipts in any of our Historic Business District Businesses during your visit to Chocolate Fest.
The Festival runs from 10 am to 6 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3-4 throughout historic Long Grove. Free parking is available in downtown lots. For extra parking, a free shuttle run by Alden – Long Grove Health Care will take festival-goers to and from Geimer’s Greenhouses (located on Old Route 53 north of Lake-Cook Rd) on Saturday and Sunday. Long Grove is located at the intersection of Robert Parker Coffin and Old McHenry Roads, ¼ mile northwest of Rts. 83 and 53, just north of Lake Cook Rd.
You can never get too much chocolate – so even if you’ve attended this tasty event in the past, there are reasons galore to come back and enjoy it again and again.
